Organism n\u00e4lgib ka ajal, kui ta ei suuda teatud\u00a0haiguste p\u00e4rast vajalikke aineid omastada. Kui r\u00e4\u00e4gime n\u00e4lgimisest kui n\u00e4htusest, tuleks eristada\u00a0selle liike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>a) Valesti s\u00f6\u00f6mine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">N\u00e4lgimiseks tuleb nimetada ka olukorda, kus organism ei saa\u00a0piisavalt mikroelemente, s\u00fcsi vesikuid, valke ega rasvu. Siin\u00a0on kaks v\u00f5imalust: selleks kas ollakse v\u00e4liselt sunnitud v\u00f5i\u00a0on see enda valitud dieet. M\u00f5lemad variandid on halvad, sest\u00a0selline n\u00e4lgimine pole s\u00fcsteemne: organism ei saa k\u00f5iki vajalikke\u00a0aineid ning neid, mida ta saab, on liiga v\u00e4he. Osale loomadele on omane\u00a0j\u00e4\u00e4da talveunne ning nende organism l\u00fclitub t\u00e4ielikult \u00fcmber\u00a0sisemisele toidule. Inimmaailmas kuulub siia kategooriasse \u00fcksnes\u00a0m\u00f5ni joogametoodika, samuti letargiline uni \u2013 sel ajal ei katke\u00a0elu sekundikski, vaid organismis toimuvad k\u00f5ik protsessid \u00f6konoomselt\u00a0ja t\u00e4isv\u00e4\u00e4rtuslikult.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Talveuni t\u00e4hendab teatud loomade v\u00f5imet minna h\u00fcpobioosi\u00a0seisundisse (kreeka <em>bi<\/em><em>\u014d<\/em><em>sis <\/em>\u2019elu\u2019; <em>hypo <\/em>\u2019vaeg-, v\u00e4he\u2019). S\u00f6\u00f6misest loobutakse\u00a0t\u00e4ielikult, aga s\u00e4ilib piisav vee tarbimine ja f\u00fc\u00fcsiline\u00a0aktiivsus. Sellise paastumise ajal saavad rakud t\u00e4iuslikku toitu\u00a0ja sisemisi varusid kasutatakse v\u00e4ga ratsionaal selt. Paastukuuri\u00a0pikkus vastab f\u00fcsioloogilistele protsessidele.
