Energiat tuleb\u00a0saada just nii palju, kui kulutatakse.\u00a0P\u00f5hiainevahetuseks vajaminevat<br \/>\nenergiat kasutab organism\u00a0hingamiseks, s\u00fcdame\u00a0t\u00f6\u00f6ks, kehatemperatuuri s\u00e4ilitamiseks\u00a0ja muudeks eluvajalikeks\u00a0funktsioonideks. Energiat\u00a0l\u00e4heb tarvis ka toidu seedimiseks\u00a0ja omastamiseks (mis\u00a0on omakorda vajalik organismi\u00a0kasvamiseks ja kudede uuendamiseks)\u00a0ning inimese kehaliseks\u00a0ja vaimseks tegevuseks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Valkude p\u00f5hi\u00fclesanne on organismi\u00a0kasvamise, ehituse ja\u00a0arengu tagamine.\u00a0Praktiliselt k\u00f5ik ens\u00fc\u00fcmid\u00a0ning osad hormoonid on valgulise\u00a0koostisega. Valgud osalevad\u00a0aktiivselt antikehade\u00a0tootmises ja tagavad organismi\u00a0tugeva ning toimiva immuuns\u00fcsteemi,\u00a0samuti osalevad nad\u00a0paljude \u00fchendite transpordil.<br \/>\nLoomset p\u00e4ritolu valkude parimateks allikateks on muna,\u00a0piimatooted (nt kohupiim,\u00a0juust, kodujuust), kala, linnuliha,\u00a0liha. Taimset p\u00e4ritolu valkude<br \/>\nparimateks allikateks on\u00a0kaunviljad, p\u00e4hklid, seemned\u00a0ja teraviljatooted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rasvade p\u00f5hi\u00fclesanne on\u00a0energia andmine ning energia\u00a0talletamine organismis, nad\u00a0v\u00f5tavad osa kasvuprotsesside\u00a0ja muu elutegevuse reguleerimisest.<br \/>\nRasvad on asendamatute\u00a0pol\u00fck\u00fcllastumata rasvhapete\u00a0ja rasvlahustuvate vitamiinide\u00a0allikaks ning samaaegselt\u00a0on nad vajalikud nende imendumiseks.<br \/>\nFosfolipiidid kuuluvad\u00a0k\u00f5ikide kudede ja rakkude membraanide ehitusse, suuremal\u00a0hulgal on neid n\u00e4rvikoes\u00a0ja ajurakkudes. Kolesterool on\u00a0vajalik sapphapete, steroidhormoonide\u00a0(sh ka suguhormoonid) s\u00fcnteesiks ja tema s\u00fcnteesimine seostub ka vitamiini\u00a0D s\u00fcnteesiga inimorganismis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kolesterooli ainevahetus\u00a0panustab seega ka vitamiini D\u00a0s\u00fcnteesi inimorganismis.\u00a0K\u00fcllastunud rasvhappeid\u00a0saame rohkem n\u00e4htava v\u00f5i peiterasvaga\u00a0lihatoodetest (n\u00e4iteks\u00a0viinerid, vorstid) ja rasvastest\u00a0piimatoodetest (r\u00f5\u00f5sk ja\u00a0vahukoor, v\u00e4ga rasvased juustud,\u00a0v\u00f5i). Mono- ja pol\u00fck\u00fcllastumata\u00a0rasvhapete allikad on kala,<br \/>\np\u00e4hklid ja seemned, toidu\u00f5lid\u00a0(v.a palmi- ja kookos\u00f5lid),\u00a0linnuliha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kui toote koostise loetelus\u00a0esineb viide osaliselt h\u00fcdrogeenitud\u00a0taimerasvale, siis v\u00f5ib\u00a0selline toode sisaldada transrasvhappeid.\u00a0Kolesteroolirikkamad toidud<br \/>\non rupskid (nt maks).\u00a0Taimset p\u00e4ritolu toidus kolesterooli\u00a0ei ole.<br \/>\nS\u00fcsivesikud on organismi\u00a0p\u00f5hiline energiaallikas, kattes\u00a0reeglina umbes poole kogu\u00a0organismi energiavajadusest.\u00a0S\u00fcsivesikud kuuluvad rakkude,\u00a0kudede, paljude hormoonide\u00a0ja antikehade koostisesse\u00a0ning nad osalevad er\u00fctrots\u00fc\u00fctides\u00a0veregrupi m\u00e4\u00e4ramises.\u00a0S\u00fcsivesikutel on inimorganismis\u00a0varuaine roll \u2013 maksas<br \/>\nja lihastes talletatav gl\u00fckogeen\u00a0on ajutine gl\u00fckoosi tagavara,\u00a0mida organism saab vastavalt\u00a0vajadusele h\u00f5lpsasti kasutada.\u00a0S\u00fcsivesikute piisav olemasolu<br \/>\norganismis on eelduseks rasvade\u00a0normaalsele ainevahetusele.\u00a0S\u00fcsivesikuteks on t\u00e4rklis,\u00a0suhkrud ja kiudained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Praktiliselt k\u00f5ik kiudained meie toidus on taimset p\u00e4ritolu.\u00a0Kiudained on vajalikud\u00a0t\u00e4isk\u00f5hutunde tekkimiseks ja\u00a0hoidmiseks, j\u00e4mesoole mikrofloora<br \/>\nnormaalseks toimimiseks\u00a0ja seel\u00e4bi seedes\u00fcsteemi\u00a0korrashoidmiseks, vere gl\u00fckoosi- ning kolesteroolitaseme\u00a0normaliseerimiseks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Peamised looduslikud s\u00fcsivesikute\u00a0allikad on teraviljatooted,\u00a0kartul, k\u00f6\u00f6giviljad.\u00a0Puuviljad ja marjad, puuviljaja\u00a0marjamahl ning piim annavad\u00a0samuti suhkruid (mono- ja\u00a0disahhariide).<br \/>\nT\u00e4rkliserikasteks toitudeks \u00a0on teraviljatooted, kartul ning\u00a0osad k\u00f6\u00f6giviljad (nt kaunviljad,\u00a0k\u00fc\u00fcslauk). Kiudaineid sisaldavad\u00a0enim teraviljatooted (eriti\u00a0t\u00e4isteratooted), neile j\u00e4rgnevad\u00a0puu- ja k\u00f6\u00f6giviljad (eriti kaunviljad)\u00a0ning marjad.<br \/>\nLisatavaid suhkruid sisaldavad\u00a0peamiselt pagari- ja\u00a0kondiitritooted (nt kommid,\u00a0\u0161okolaadid,saiakesed, koogid),\u00a0magusad joogid, magustatud\u00a0piimatooted.<br \/>\nVesi on organismile asendamatu,\u00a0omamata samas energeetilist\u00a0v\u00e4\u00e4rtust.
