Description
mino acids are components of proteins – i.e. protein molecules – and are therefore involved in many processes, such as the maintenance of muscle mass and bones. There are 20 different amino acids in proteins, which can be divided into three groups: essential, semi-replaceable and non-replaceable amino acids.
The body cannot produce essential amino acids by itself. Therefore, they must be obtained from food. Examples of these include tryptophan, lysine, methionine and phenylalanine. Semi-essential amino acids such as arginine, glycine, glutamine, histidine or tyrosine can be produced by the body itself from essential amino acids, but sometimes these amounts are insufficient, for example during growth and sports or pregnancy. Then they need to be supplied with food. Non-replaceable amino acids, e.g. alanine and serine, can be produced by the body itself. Amino acids are often taken as capsules or vegan protein powder for low protein diets or increased demand.
A healthy and varied diet usually supplies the body with enough protein. But there are situations when the body needs more of them, and then you have to make sure that it actually gets all the necessary amino acids in the right amount and in the right ratio. This is especially true when the body is deprived of animal protein or intensive exercise, as well as in old age to preserve muscle. Rice and peas are a protein dream team.
Pro Amino Special helps cover increased protein needs in a simple way. The optimally balanced combination of rice and pea protein provides not only an exceptionally high protein content of over 80%, but also a complete, pure vegetable protein.
Why rice and peas? Both are particularly easily digestible and, unlike, for example, milk or soy protein, do not contain typical allergens. Both provide exactly those amino acids that the other lacks. Rice and peas complement each other perfectly because they balance each other’s amino acids: rice provides cysteine and methionine, while peas provide arginine and lysine. Both are rich in EAA and BCAA**. The product does not contain flavorings or additives. Perfect for cocktails, smoothies, muesli or baking. Proteins help increase and maintain muscle mass.
** EAA (Essential Amino Acids): essential or essential amino acids
**BCAA (Branched-Chain Amino Acids): branched-chain essential amino acids = leucine, isoleucine and valine.
