The carbonate compounds in Pro Mineral Complete originate from the red algae Lithothamnium calcareum. This small seaweed is sustainably harvested in the western fjords of Iceland (Aquamin™ mineral complex) and contains an abundance of calcium, magnesium and 72 trace elements. Thanks to their porous surface structure, the algae carbonates dissolve better in stomach acid (hydrochloric acid) than isolated carbonate compounds. As a result, more carbonates enter the organism.
